This is an amazing healthy alternative to the shop brought granolas and it's so cheap to make. You can chop and change your seed and berry choice to. I do each time I make a batch.
Ingredients: 125ml of honey or maple syrup. I love Agarve syrup at the moment.
1 tsp vanilla extract
300g rolled oats
50g sunflower seeds
4 tbsp sesame seeds
50g pumpkin seeds
100g flax seeds
100g dried berries (I use cranberries, raisins, apricot)
50g coconut
Method: Set the oven to 150 degrees. Mix the honey and vanilla togther, then mix in the oats. Give it a stir.
Add in the seeds.
Grease a baking tray with grease proof paper then place the mixed ingredients on the tray. Put in the oven for 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven, turn over the granola with a spoon and mix in the remaining ingredients. Place back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
Remove and place on a tray to cool.
Serve with Greek Yoghurt and fresh fruit. Very yummy.
Store in a air tight container for up to a month (but you'll probably be like me and easily eat it within a week)
